Q

why are fossil fuels that contain sulfur harmful

A

Q

what does incomplete combustion produce

A
Carbon (soot) (C) - causes breathing problems
carbon monoxide(CO)- poisonous. But can be removed from exhaust gases by catalytic convertors

Q

PRoblems with CFC’s and why r they banned now

alternative?

A

CFC’s cause damage to the ozone layer
and the advantages could couldnt outweigh the environmental problems
so they were banneddddddd

An alternative to this would be HFC’s which do not contain chlorine.
