  • stretch second line, if able to

2nd line used:

  • control 1st floor, if 1st line advanced down cellar via interior
  • backup/protect 1st line
  • if 1st line controlled 1st floor-stretch to cellar via interior or exterior entrance
  • cellar pipes/distributors

  • break store front windows for line advancement and LEAVE EXIT DOORS FREE FOR PEOPLE TO USE
  • operate hoselines directly into ROOF OPENINGS…not a good practice but may be only way to hit fire and control it…all operations MUST CEASE AND PERSONNEL WITHDRAWN TO SAFE AREA

  • stretch a line into most severely exposed building/occupancy…depending on life hazard and severity of fire
