  • Moderate to severe pain when: personnel unable to administer fentanyl/morphine/ketamine within an appropriate time, or the administration is inappropriate

  • Known severe allergy
  • History of Malignant Hyperthermia
  • Unable to obey commands
  • Known renal impairment
  • Received Methoxy within the last week

Cautions of Methoxyflurane?

A
  • Pre-eclampsia, due to worsening of renal impairment
  • Age greater than or equal to 75. Particularly in the presence of illness, infection or dehydration. Due to possibly worsening of renal impairment
  • Administration in confined space
