Indicators of Methoxyflurane?
A
- Moderate to severe pain when: personnel unable to administer fentanyl/morphine/ketamine within an appropriate time, or the administration is inappropriate

Contraindications of Methoxyflurane?
A
- Known severe allergy
- History of Malignant Hyperthermia
- Unable to obey commands
- Known renal impairment
- Received Methoxy within the last week

Cautions of Methoxyflurane?
A
- Pre-eclampsia, due to worsening of renal impairment
- Age greater than or equal to 75. Particularly in the presence of illness, infection or dehydration. Due to possibly worsening of renal impairment
- Administration in confined space

Side Effects of Methoxyflurane?
A
- Sedation
- Lightheadedness

Dosing Regimes of Methoxyflurane?
A
- Greater than or equal to 12 years max 6ml
- Less than 12 years max 3ml

‐ 1 to 2 mins
