A
  • must be pivoted or side-hinged
  • must swing in the direction of travel when > 50 occupant load or group H occupancy.
  • must not swing into a required path by > 7 in
  • doors can be recessed to avoid this issue

  • 1/3 - sprinklered bldg
  • 3 or more exits are required : 2 must follow the half diagonal rule
