how to calculate an average?
adding a group of numbers and then dividing by the count of those numbers. For example, the average of 2, 3, 3, 5, 7, and 10 is 30 divided by 6, which is 5.
difference between diameter and radius
The radius is half of the diameter; 2r=d 2 r = d . The line segment that joins two points on the circle is a chord.
Find volume of a box?
multiplying length x width x height.
find area of square of rectangle
ultiply its height by its width. For a square you only need to find the length of one of the sides (as each side is the same length) and then multiply this by itself to find the area.
how to use a tape measure?
the end tab at one end of the item or space you want to measure, then pull out the tape until you get to the other end. Then, take a measurement reading. To determine the length, you’ll need to add up the increments. If your item is exactly, say, 3″ or 3′, it’s much easier.
