Cystitis Uncomplicated: Specific agent - 4
Nitro=5days, SMT=3days, Ceph=5days, Cipro=3 days (Don’t use FQ if isolated E. Coli or Proteus, susceptibility issues)
Cystitis Complicated duration AND RFs
7 - 14 days; Male, female >65y/o, pregnant, urinary catheter present, altered urologic anatomy, pyelonephritis
Acute Pyelonephritis - 2 PO treatments
7 - 14 days; SMT=14 days total abx, Cipro=7days total
Cellulitis: Diffuse (no drainage, no abscess) or Purulent
5 - 10 days
Cutaneous Abscess: severe/extensive, systemic
5 - 10 days
Cutaneous Abscess: simple, or boil

Infectious Arthritis
4 weeks
Diabetic Foot infection: Mild, no abc last 30 days
7 - 14 days, depending on severity, surgery, response to therapy
Diabetic Foot Infection: Chronic or mod to sev (consider PA risk)
14 days, depending on severity, surgery, or response to therapy
Bite Wound: Dog/cat/human (even clenched fist)
5 - 10 days
