What causes it

A

Develops naturally as breast ages + changes shape

What are the symptoms

A
  • Pain/discomfort
  • Breast enlargement
  • Blood nipple discharge - 80% of pt affected
  • Palpable mass - elongated near lumen of duct
  • Solitary lump near nipple
  • smaller clusters further away

  • Small 1-2cm

A
  • USS/ mammography

- Biopsy (rule out cancer)

How do you treat it

A
  • Hadfield’s procedure - remove all ducts

- Remove papilloma +/- milk duct via microdohectomy –> only affect milk duct
