Trained in the theory of flight and identifying weather conditions that affect their ability to fly.
Operates cameras at day and night.
What do drone operators do?
Operate UAV unmanned aerial vehicles.
Vital information to enable tactical decision making.
Assist in the defence of ground troops.
General soldiering duties.

Kapooka what will be learnt
80 days to learn to be a soldier.
Physical training, weapon handling, shooting, first aid, drill and field craft.
Employment training after Kapooka
Basic combat communications course- 6days puckapunal
RAA common induction training 12days puckapunal
Operator unmanned aerial systems course- 2phases last for 21weeks.
