Name all the displays
Primary flight display, Navigation display, Engine/Wing display, Systems display.
What happens if my PFD goes blank?
The PFD will be shown on the Nav display
If my ND goes blank?
Nothing happens. The ND will stay blank and all other screens will stay the same.
If my E/WD goes blank?
It will be shown on the systems display.
If the systems display goes blank?
Nothing will happen. All screens will stay normal.
If my Nav display goes blank. How would I see my nav display on my PFD display?
By pushing the PFD/ND transfer push button on the EFIS controls.
If I turn the ECAM, ND transfer rotatory to CAPT 3. What does that do?
Transfers the Systems/status display to the captains ND.
When both E/WD and SD fail. It will transfer the E/WD to the captains side.
DMC 1
Display management computer for the captains PFD, ND and E/WD.
DMC 2
Display management computer for the First officers PFD, ND and Systems display.
What does it mean if I see a white line through the captains PFD, ND and the E/WD?
DMC1 has failed
If DMC 1 has failed and are showing white lines through the PFD1, ND1 and E/WD. What would you do?
I would turn the EIS DMC knob to CAP 3. DMC1 is now replaced by DMC3. DMC3 is always on standby.
How many DMCs are there?
- DMC1 captains side. DMC2 FO side. DMC 3 is on standby.
