Treatment of peptic ulcers

A

Medicines to block stomach acids or antibiotics to kill ulcer causing bacteria. Not smoking and avoiding alcohol can help. Surgery may help with ulcers that don’t heal.

A

Stomach acid damages walls of stomach/duodenum, infection with Heliobacter (H.) pylori. Also the long term use of aspirin+ibuprofen.
