Diagnosis Guidelines Flashcards

1
Q

CV Pump (Aerobic Capacity)

A
  1. Abnormal vital sign response (flattened)
  2. EF < 40%
  3. BNP > normal values
  4. > 2 mm ST elevation or depression
  5. Angina
  6. Onset of ventricular ectopy with increasing workload (> 7 PVC per minute) with hemodynamic compromise

Q

Deconditioning (Aerobic Capacity)

A
  1. Bedrest for 24-48 hours

2. Exaggerated vital sign response to activity: greater than expected increase for the workload (HR, BP, RR, RPE)

Q

Airway Clearance

A
  1. Abnormal/adventitious breath sounds or voice sounds indicative of secretions
  2. Ineffective cough or effective cough not able to clear volume of secretions present
  3. Chest film with evidence of infiltrate of consolidation
  4. Mediate percussion note that confirms presence of retained secretions/consolidation
  5. Pathology with chronic retained secretions: CF, chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis
