Patience and trust in God’s wisdom and plan.
What does the story of Prophet Joseph teach us about suffering?
Suffering can lead to greater good;
God can bring positive outcomes - Joseph became a governor of Egypt despite being mistreated by his brothers.
What is redemptive suffering?
The belief that when we suffer we can offer our suffering to help others.
How does Jesus redeem humanity?
Jesus suffered on the cross to save us from sin.
What is Jesus’ passion?
Jesus’ suffering during his arrest, trial, and crucifixion.
What is Lent?
The 40 days leading up to Easter when Christians pray, fast, and give to remember Jesus’ time in the desert.
How did the devil tempt Jesus?
He said he would turn stone into bread, give him kingdoms and power, and the opportunity to prove He was God by throwing Himself from a height.
