Sample
- Is a subset, or part of a population.
- Used to gain information about a population.
- It should be representative of a population so the sample data can draw conclusions about the population.
- Must be collected using random sampling.
Statistics
Is the science of collecting, organizing, analyzing and interpreting data in order to make decision.
Data
Consist of information coming from observations, counts, measurements, or responses.
Census
Consists of data form an entire population.
