1
Q

Appreciate the difference between extrinsic and intrinsic properties

A

Q

Explain why density is an intrinsic property

A
  • The density of a substance remains the same whether the substance has a larger or lower amount
  • E.g the density of water will remain the same for a glass of water and a litre

Use the density equation:

A

Rearrange it to have:
* mass = density x volume
* volume = mass / density
