Who do we battle when we intercede in prayer?
Satan, for the souls of men and women, boys and girls, for nations, and spiritual and political leaders
Comes from the Holy Spirit given to be used/directed for specific purposes through intercession- our weapon against the enemy
Power
The position established by Jesus Christ in Him as a believer- through our new birth experience
Authority
The authority to intercede in prayer for those who need healing and deliverance (Luke 9:1)
Power Over the Enemy
The authority to intercede for those who are in need of salvation (John 20:22)
Power Over Sin
“Whosoever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whosoever sins ye retain, they are retained”

The authority to pray for laborers to extend the gospel (Matthew 9:36-37)
Power to Extend the Gospel
“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

From the Hebrew word “asar”, which means to imprison, tie, grid or to harness
Binding
“But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.”

“I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
