Definitely Benign Lesions Flashcards
Non ossifying fibroma
Less than 30 years
Mild expansion
Cortical and scalloping
Asymptomatic
If larger than 2cm- fcd
Later becomes sclerotic
No pathological frature
Bone island
Grow along lines of stress
Unicameral bone cyst in calcaneum
Anteroinferor aspect
Less stress so less pathological frature so no need to curretage and pack
Can be growing after 30 years also thus undergoing fatty involution thus getting the name intraosseus lipoma
Dd- pseudocyst of calcaneum because of less stress bone trabeculae are atrophic
Pitts pit
Lytic lesion with sclerotic borders in lateral aspect of the femoral neck
More pronounced in femoroacetabular impingement
Synovial herniation pit
Bone infarct
Pain in sle and sickle cell
Classical: serpiginous sclerotic border
Early stages : mixed lytic sclerotic in diametaphyseal
