Q

What are the 4 signs of horner’s syndrome? Why?

A

Sunken eyelid - action of retractor bulbi is not opposed.
Droopy upper eyelid - no smooth muscle action of levator palpebrae superioris.
Prominent 3rd eyelid - remains retracted under sympathetic control.
Constricted pupil (miosis) - looses smooth muscle action to the pupil, causing dilation.
