What is a PSTN line?
Public switched telephone network, it is an analogue line which runs on a copper fibre network.
What is ADSL?
Basic broadband, broadband running on a copper network. An upgraded version of dial up.

What is the difference between FTTC and FTTP?
FTTC = is fibre to the cabinet FTTP = is fibre to the premise
What is open reach care level?
Response time of open reach to resolve a fault.
What are the timescales associated with the 4 different care levels?
4 = 6hrs. 3 = before 1pm same day, after 1pm next day. 2 = 48hrs. 1 = 3 working days.
What is SoGEA?
Single order generic ethernet access
No voice capability, cannot use analogue, no phone line/ CLI. SoGEA doesn’t require a phone service alongside it.
What does VoIP mean?
Voice over Internet protocol
