Haz-mat Box.
Used when hazardous materials are present or involved on the scene.
What is any fire response that does not require a Full or Tactical Box?
Local alarm.
What is a fire response without the use of warning devices, usually to assist the police?
Silent alarm.
What is a reduced speed response to investigate unusual conditions reported?
Investigation.
What is a fire response consisting of 1 engine, 1 ladder & 1 battalion chief to investigate unknown, suspicious, potentially hazardous conditions or materials?
Haz-mat investigation.
What is a reduced speed response to a school or a prison facility to investigate a previously extinguished fire?
Limited response.
What does FCC consider when dispatching companies on responses?
a. Dispatch the minimum initial dispatch
b. If multiple calls are received or arriving units indicate a need for increased dispatch, FCC will upgrade the assignment
c. When a tactical box is dispatched FCC will not send additional equipment unless requested by the IC.
How are task forces used when FCC dispatches?
On a local alarm & multiple alarm assignments, task force can be assigned as an engine or a ladder.
On tactical boxes a task force will be dispatched as a ladder.
When will heavy rescue be dispatched?
Automatically to full box assignments within their designated catchment response area.
Citywide on incident types related to their capabilities.
