What is the Metropolitan Police force?
A
It’s a Government directed police force policing the whole of London (except for the City of London)

What were Beat Constables?
A
They patrolled a set route of streets to deter criminals from committing crime

What’s a disadvantage of Beat Constables?
A
They are only in certain places at certain times so crime can still happen elsewhere. People can also predict their routes and so commit the crime elsewhere
