The story of how God created the world in 7 days.

A story on how God created men, women and animals.

All Knowing
What is Omnibenevolent?
That God does good deeds, all loving. ‘God saw that it was good’.
Who are Adam and Eve?
The first man and women god made in the garden of Eden

What is Free Will?
It is the choice to do anything which God gave us after Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit.

The idea that believers have a duty to look after the environment on behalf of God.

What splits the bible into two.
What is the Old Testament?
46 books which deal with ways God related to the Jewish people throughout their history and protecting them by sending prophets.
What is the New Testament?
27 books and it is about Jesus’ life and his teachings.
What are the 4 styles of writing in the Old Testament?
Law books, History books, Wisdom books and Prophetic Books.

Gospels, Acts of the Apostles, Epistles and Book of Revelation.
What are the Law Books?
Show how Jews became Gods people, two examples Genesis, Exodus.
What are the History Books?
How God guided his people and how the people often didnt listen, for example: 1 and 2 kings.
What are the Wisdom Books?
Includes prayers such as psalms, advice and poems in order to stay close to God, for example: Psalms, Proverbs.
What are the Prophetic Books?
Contains the words of inspired figures who were sent by God to teach peoples God’s advice, for example: Isaiah, Jeremiah.
What are the Gospels?
Record the teachings of God, written by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
What are the Acts of the Apostles?
A continuation of Luke’s gospel which tell the event of the early church, for example: Acts
What are the Epistles (Letters)?
Show Christians how to live by Jesus’ teachings and what it means to be christian, for example: 1 and 2 Corinthians.

An apocalyptic book written by John, which some christians believes describes the end of the world, for example: Revalation.
What is Inspiration?
The word we use to describe the holy spirit which tells the Bible writers what to write.

Authority of the Catholic Church (Popes and Bishops) to guide Catholics in their belif.
What dees Myth mean?
A story that intends to convey a deep truth or message, but not in a literal way.
What is Sacred Scripture?
The Holy writings of a religion that are believed to be inspired by God.
What does Fundamentalist mean?
Someone who believes the Bible is a factual record that describes events as they happened, like god creating the earth in 7 days.

Moral principles and values that are considered to be inherent to all humans.

Preserving Life, Reproduction, Education of Offspring, Living as a Society, Studying and Praying to God.

The nataural world, the surrounding in which someone lives.

Relying or depending on each other, as a change to one thing affects other things as well.

CAFOD is a Catholic Church offical aid agency which’s main aim is to work with the poorest people to achieve a more just world, for example helping farmers in Sri Lanka so their more sustainable.
What does Sustainability mean?
Only using natural resources at a rate at which they can be replaced.
What does the Creator ex Nikilo mean?
Matter not eternal but had to made by God. ‘Let there be light’ - he created it.
What is Transcendent?
The idea that God is beyond and outside life on earth and the universe.
How the creation story influence Catholic belif?
Sanctity of life, Dignity of Humans, Stewardship, Environment Sustainability and Interdependence
