Q

How do you use an AED?

A

Once turned on (either automatically or by button) the AED will read the persons heart rhythm to see if a shock (defibrillation) is needed by use of the sticky pads you will place on the person. If a shock is needed, the recorded voice will tell you when to give said shock. The shock will stun the heart for a bit and then the machine will tell you what to do from there.
