Connective tissue Flashcards
Name all the types of connective tissue
fibrous connective tissue
Loose connective tissue
Blood
Bone
Cartilage
Adipose tissue
Explain fibrous connective tissue
It forms a tendon
It has a cell nucleus and collagen fibres
Explain loose connective tissue
It is under the skin
It has cells, collagen fibres, elastic fibres
Explain blood
It has white blood cells, red blood cells, plasma
Explain bone
It has bone forming cells, a central canal, and the matrix
Explain cartilage
It is at the end of a bone
Has cartilage forming cells
and a matrix
Explain adipose tissue
it has fat droplets
How does fibrous connective tissue look like
it is red and wavy, and is located where a tendon would be formed, very close to the bone joint
How does loose connective tissue look like
it is purple, and has a lot of fibres, And it is just under the skin outer layer
How does blood look like
What has white blood cells are red blood cells
How does bone look like
They have central canals and look very textured
How does cartilage look like and where is it located?
it is purple and it looks like it has a lot of cells
And is directly under a bone, Like the lining
Explain adipose tissue
it is under the inner layer of the skin, has a lot of circles that are fat droplets
Explain to basic facts about connective tissue
The most common and most varied in the body
Moderate mitotic rate
