Oedema - chemosis which prevents the eye from closing properly
Erythema - superficial reddening of the skin
Epiphora - excessive watering of the eye

Cattle - infectious bovine rhinotracheitis
Cats - feline herpesvirus 1, chlamydia, mycoplasma
Horses - habronemiasis
