All particles in matter are the same

Two or more substances physically combined
What’s an element?
Simplistic form of matter, from which more complex things are made

Monatomic, and diatomic
What’s monatomic?
Stable as an individual
What’s diatomic?
Are stable with two atoms bonded together
What’s a compound?
Two or more elements chemically combined
What’s homogeneous?
A mixture that’s evenly spread out
What’s heterogeneous?
Substances in the mixture are not evenly spread out
What’s a colloid?
Small particles remain dispersed evenly throughout the mixture
What’s suspension?
Larger particles that appear uniformly disturbed but will settle out if not mixed
What’s the Tyndall effect?
The scattering of light by a mixture
