It is used to connect headphones to the camera

It is used to connect specialized microphones to the camera

It allows you to transfer audio and video data between their video recording device and computer

It allows you to see what the camera is recording. Information such as battery life, time code, time left on tape, etc. are may also be displayed.
Viewfinder
It allows you to make minor adjustments on focus and exposure which may not be easily seen through the viewfinder
LCD
It collects light and focuses the image onto the camera’s sensor chip
Lens
This lets you quickly adjust your lens angle from a wide-angle to a telephoto lens. It is a part of a zoom lens
Zoom Rocker
It is where you insert your flash memory card

The microphone that comes with digital video cameras

It is the button used to take the video

A type of lens that allows you to shoot from a long, medium, or long shot

A kind of shot that tracks or “crabs” the camera from left and right
Tracking/Crabbing Shot
A kind of shot that requires you to physically move the camera. A dolly is used with these shots
Dolly Shot
A kind of shot where the camera is moved vertically and is used to show a large expanse of land
Crane Shot
A kind of shot that is held by the photographer
Handheld Shot
A cable used to attach the USB slot of the camera
USB Cables
A cable commonly used for MiniDV video cameras. It transfers data more quickly than a USB cable
