Who were James Dunn and NT Wright?

A

These men were theologians who followed Wrede in his historical reading of the NT, but also emphasized the systematic reading of the NT. This is called the new perspective. The New perspective is also the very basic idea that Paul has to be understood in terms of first century Judaism

Q

explain ‘Jesus is Lord’

A

This statement unifies the NT. By saying this we let systematical theology and history coincide in the person of Jesus. Because of the gospels we know the historical Jesus and because of the epistles and letters we know what Jesus as Lord implies.
