How should the till handover work
There needs to be a lead cashier for the afternoon, and ensure to the nil past the til.
How does the PIL work
Each day the PIL generates a number of counts on the MDT that needs to be completed in order to keep the stores stockholding accurate
How does stock on hand effect PIL
A store with a more accurate Stock On Hand will have a smaller PIL
What happens to unactioned counts in the PIL
They get rolled over on the next day
What can you do to maximise efficiency and availability with the PI.
Add any off sales to the PI at the end of the day.
PI counting your off sales to zero is the most efficient way of accurately maintaining your stock on hand
How many walks Shouid you do to check stock off sales
Multiple, react quickly to offsales and prioritise those during replenishments.
Why is the last store management walk very important
This will be used by the ordering manager for next day to make orders more accurate.
You could also identify any stock on hand issues that you should PI to correct.
What is STM

What do STM tasks include
Due diligence take and the daily bulletin task, must be completed by the closing manager to show the story is legally compliant
What tasks does the daily bulletin include
Marking and removing discount on product.
Actioning code changes.
Adding and removing STOOS labels on STOOS products.
Adding new products to the order menu.
Why are the checks important?
We must ensure legal compliance with the control in store, Aldi can be fined if out of date products are found on the shopfloor
What happens to products that go out of date that day.
They should have a reduction applied and at the end of the day be removed and written off, any stock that has a best before date of the current day should be donated if it is still fit for human consumption.
How should we deal with customers when closing?
Never rush customers because we are closing, if necessary give customers a 10 minute time period after closing to complete and pay for their shopping.
How often must each cashier be declared
Every evening
How should cash handling be dealt with for security reasons
All cash handling that takes place at close must fall within the yellow security instructions
Apparently bag must be processed on stores 2014 and dropped into the bottom Steve via the shoot once complete
How is security monitored on close.
Same as the morning monitor any unusual activity.
Always be accompanied by another colleague.

Review and action PIL For the day, adding any stockholding issues found from either your OPC review, or stock management walk.
Complete the date check.
Managers are required to scan the waste ensure charity donations are processed by a 37 code.
Action daily tasks on STM, Including the bulletin and due diligence tasks.
Add close of business of sales to the PI and send PI.
Complete all cash handling processes.
‘Close store’ on store 2014.
Ensure the store is tidy and reset, ready for trade the following day.
Complete a written handover to the morning manager.
Lock and alarm the store, ensure all fire exits are locked shutters are down and the automatic lighting is off.
What is all the cash handling processes for a close shift
Cash up all tills.
Drop money into the bottom see as required.
Ensure all till drawers are filled, ready for the morning.
Count the safe.
How do you ensure that the store is tidy and reset
Trolleys and baskets are collected.
Tills are tidied and clean down.
All put back are actions.
Specials are tidied.
Shopfloor is carded.
