A

He goes to fight minotaur, says white flag means I’m alive black flag mean I’m dead, meets a girl who helps him, kills the minotaur makes it back out the cave, goes back, dumps the girl on an island and she cursed him making him forget to change the flag from black to white. His dad sees black and jumps of a cliff

How did they go about making their citizens warriors

A

If the baby wasn’t strong they would throw it of a cliff, at 7 you would be put in the wild for a year and you had to survive with 1 piece of clothing, you were unde3r the lead of an older boy. After they got back they did the cheese test, which is where you have to get a piece of cheese but you had lots of other boys protecting them with whips, you could be killed.

A

Were in the city and always heard and seen, treated the same as boys, more women than men, encouraged to be competitive. They could choose who they marry, could own property and could do sports, they spoke in public

A

Ionia revolted against the Persians who took over them, this caused in the battle of Surdis, the city was burnt and caused Persia to hate Greeks

A

Battle of Marathon, Greeks won, a messenger ran 26 miles from Marathon to Athens to tell the king what happened he died instantly after.

Naval battle, Persians had more ships, Greeks won using tactics and Persia retreated, Greeks had better boats.

A

Cleisthenes wanted power so he said why don’t we give the people and vote and thought they would all like him so he could have power

A

Did an assembly every week so every citizen could have there voice heard, they did random selection for the council and jury

A

Only citizens could have there voice heard which was only 10%, you had to be pure Athenian, not a slave, over 18 and a male to class as a citizen
