Why do we need to identify major headaches:
When you have a cool idea and no customer, you just have a cool idea, there may be a reason why the problem hasn’t been solved, major problems are not easily solved, easy solutions are easily copied, customers often willing to pay more for better solutions.
What are qualities of a highly valuable idea:
They appeal to a large market, clear value proposition, customers have a willingness and ability to pay, it provides value that isn’t easily found elsewhere, you have the ability to implement it, you can prevent people from immediately copying it, avoid enhancing other peoples products.
Identify the root cause:
Solving root problems is more valuable than solving problems, to get to the room problem keep asking why.
