BLEED AIR - Check (test by pressing in switches out, then reselect)
- 14TH STAGE - in, out, in (no lights)
- 14TH STAGE - OUT, out, OUT (L & R CLOSED lighted)
- 14TH STAGE - IN, out, IN (no lights)
- 10TH STAGE - out, in, in, out (all illuminated)
- Memory Aid: 14th stage L ISOL is in and directly below in 10th stage, APU LCV and ISOL are both in too.

ANTI-ICE - Check / As required (once/day if icing conditions exist or anticipated. If Type II, III, or IV fluids applied this check can be completed before shutdown after landing first leg of the day prior to shutdown. Delay WING - ON prior to takeoff if fluids applied)
- WING - NORM
- L & R engine ITT increase. If L or R WING A/I message remains displayed, advance thrust not to exceed 75% N2.
- EICAS message WING A/ICE ON displayed.
- N2 guages changes color.
- L & R HEAT light up after a slight delay.
- 14TH STAGE ISOL - Press IN, then back OUT. Lightswitch should come on showing OPEN, then off.
- WING - OFF
- EICAS message WING A/ICE ON goes out.
- N2 gauges change color.
- L & R COWL - ON
- L & R COWL ON switchlights illuminate.
- EICAS message displayed COWL A/ICE ON.
- EICAS message extinguished L & R COWL A/ICE.
- 45 seconds after selecting L & R COWL - ON, verify EICAS message COWL A/ICE ON remains lit.
- SUPP GND WING ANTI-ICE - Check
- Verify both thrust levers are at or near the idle position (TLA<19°).
- SYS - On (out) - verify switchlight positioned out and OFF extinguished.
- TEST - Press. TEST ON illuminates, and TEST OK illuminates within 2 minutes.
- TEST - Press (again) to turn test function off. TEST ON & TEST OK both extinguished.
- L & R COWL - Set as required.
- WING - NORM

- FLAPS - 20°
- APR - ARM
- APR Test - Accomplish (press APR - TEST [1 / 2] to display EICAS message for 10 seconds: APR TEST [1 / 2] OK.
- ATS - Check (press LAMP TEST [1 / 2] and verify ATS SELFTEST scrolls across both MSD displays, then release and verify displays are blank.
- ADG AUTO DEPLOY CONTROL - Check (hold LAMP / UNIT switch to UNIT (hold). Green TEST LED lit momentarily)

- EICAS message (R REV UNLOCKED) extinguishes.
- L & R UNLK light extinguish.
- L Thrust Reverser - Stow
- EICAS message (L REV UNLOCKED) extinguishes.
- R Thrust Reverser - Deploy
- REV icon appears on right N1 gauge.
- EICAS message (L REV UNLOCKED) extinguishes.
- L & R UNLK light extinguish.
- R Thrust Reverser - Stow
- EICAS message (R REV UNLOCKED) extinguishes.
- Completion of check - Announce
