what factors can increase the risk of CHD?
A
- Infection:
- Rubella
- Coxsackie
- Toxoplasmosis
- Parvovirus - Low birth weight
- Other congenital anomalies:
- down syndrome
- etc.

how are CHD diagnosed?
A
via MATERNAL ULTRASOUND after 20 week gestation; gives early identification of any.
-Fetal TRANSABDOMINAL ECHOCARDIOGRAM after 16 weeks but usually around 20 weeks.
