The reconciliation meeting at Memphis where Evans washed the feet of Clemmons. The document from the reconciliation meeting in Memphis that outlined the delegates’ commitment to missions and evangelism-in justice and holiness; in spiritual renewal and empowerment; and in reconciliation of all Christians regardless of race or gender.
- Why does Pentecostal phenomena differ from revival to revival?
Cultural, social, and doctrinal factors influence revivals. There is no one model. The move of the Spirit cannot be predicted.
- Compare the Toronto and Pensacola revivals with the Azusa Street revival.
All three revivals sparked other revivals. They share some of the same phenomena. Toronto was criticized over the animal sounds, etc. The Pensacola revival was in an A/G church.
- Why did the Pensacola revival have more impact on the Assemblies of God?
It happened in an A/G church with the denomination’s blessing.
- How does the Assemblies of God view end-time revivals?
We reaffirm our desire not to hinder any move of the Spirit. If it is of God, we cannot and do not wish to stop it. If it is of the flesh, it will in time fail, but we are advised by Scripture to discern with the help of the Holy Spirit who seeks to bless the church with lasting spiritual growth.

Retooling for the Harvest set goals without the emphasis on numerical growth.

What is the role of a Christian in society? What is the church’s responsibility to poverty, hunger, abortion, injustice, and other social problems? The A/G is prayerfully, with the help of the Spirit, developing new programs to minister to all aspects.
