What is the Great Peace of Montreal?

A

The Great Peace of Montreal came after 60 years of fighting the Haudenosaunee. The peace treaty between the First Nations and New France, allowed trappers and traders to travel safely.. When the beaver supply ran low, the French expanded their travels to the North and West which resulted in them exploring the entire continent. The Great Peace of Montreal lasted until the 1750s.
