Inquisitorial Trial System
A
A system of trial based on the assumption that the truth is best discovered through inquiry by an expert impartial adjudicator. It developed in Europe from Roman civil law over many centuries and is practiced in many countries that were former European colonies, including Indonesia, France and many south American colonies.
