Death Rate
the ratio of deaths to the population of a particular area during a particular period of time, usually calculated as the number of deaths per one thousand people per year.
Birthrate
the number of live births per thousand of population per year.
Famine
extreme scarcity of food.
Population density
Population density is a measurement of population per unit area or unit volume; it is a quantity of type number density. It is frequently applied to living organisms, and most of the time to humans.
urbanization
Urbanization is a word for becoming more like a city. When populations of people grow, the population of a place may spill over from city to nearby areas.
emigrate
leave one’s own country in order to settle permanently in another.
refugee
a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster.
