  7. Endovascular intervention: balloon angioplasty and stenting.

  1. Rare autoimmune disorder
  2. Inflammation of Aorta walls and its branches
  3. symptoms: dizziness, headaches, fainting, weakness, fatigue, chest pain, hypertension, heart attack, stroke.
  4. more commonly in young women/teenage girls
  5. Diagnosed by angiography
  6. Treatment: steroids (prednisone)

  2. symptoms: headaches, ipsilateral vision changes/blindness, tenderness on palpation
  3. Narrowed segment of the vessel w/ anechoic halo, secondary to edema
