Donohue v Stevenson
breached duty of care, snail in ginger beer, made her ill, sued manufacturer
“must take reasonable care to avoid acts or omissions which you can reasonably foresee would be likely to injure your neighbour”
Dulieu v White
defendants employee negligently drove a van and horses into a premises, victim suffered a miscarriage, defendant found viable as it could have been foreseen

police said to claim for nervous shock claimants must prove:
1. that they have suffered a recognisable psychiatric illness
2. that they had a close relationship with the person involved in the accident
3. that they either saw or heard horrific scenes and were present when it happened or they arrived just after it happened
