what is cartilage
A
connective tissue that’s hard and flexible
has firm matrix with collagen and elastic fibres
no blood vessels so everything I gained or lost through diffusion

Name the types of cartilage and give examples
A
Elastic- elastic fibres that provide flexibility and elasticity for support eg ear
hyaline- closely packed collagen fibres that give cartilage strength and flexibility eg articular cartilage
fibro- thick collagenous fibrous which aren’t closely packed and is able to compress tightly eg spinal column disk

what is a tendon
A
fibrous connective tissue that’s attaches muscle to bone

A
connects bone to bone and stabilses joints
