non-communicable diseases
how is cancer caused
by cells that continue to divide by mitosis in an uncontrolled way
-they then continue to grow in an uncontrolled way
name two different types of tumour

Explain how benign tumours are
-the tumour grows slowly until there is no more space for any more cells
-the tumour stays in the same place (in situ)
-it doesnt invade other tissues
–they are not usually life threatening
Explain how malignant tumours are
-these are cancerous and grow quickly
-they invade neighbouring tissues
-they spreadto different parts of the body in the blood
