A

each ml contains 200mg
so the vial actually contains 2000mg

this is different from saying it comes in 200mg/ 10ml vials!

If a bag of fluid is labelled sodium chloride 0.9%/ potassium chloride 0.15% (20mmol/L) but you give 500ml how many mmol potassium?

A

10mmol

it is 20 mmol/L ie. per litre, so if only giving 500ml you have to half it, watch out for the /L meaning per litre

so order of units goes nanogram - microgram - milligram - gram - kilograms !
