Why do we need calcium?
- For strong bones and teeth
- Helps muscles contract
- Helps blood to clot
How much Calcium do we need?
Adults- 700mg
Teen boys- 1000mg
Teen girls-800mg
Why do teenager require more Calcium than adults?
They will require more calcium because there bones are growing rapidly.
Why is it important to achieve (PBM) adolescence?
PBM is the strongest your bones can become ( 30-35) After they start to loose their density so it is important they are strong to begin with.
What happens if you don’t get enough calcium?
Osteoporosis

Dairy products are a good source
