Position:
If positive:

A

Position: sitting, passive neck extension with lateral sidebend to painful side, and axial compression

If positive: pain unilateral on test side down UE, meaning cervical radiculopathy/ compression on nerve/ disc

Vertebral Artery Test:
Position:
If positive:

A

Position: Supine, neck passively extended and rotated to each side, wait and see for about 1.5-2 mins, talk to patient.

If positive: nystagmus, dizzy, nausea, dipolia, slurred speech; means get to doctor asap, decreased blood flow to brain, could lead to TIA. MVA/trauma type injuries to check this, maybe vestibular pts

Distraction Test:
Position:
If positive:

A

Position: Sitting or supine, traction C spine, grip around occiput in a cradle type grip

If Positive: Sxs will centralize, or go away meaning, there is compression on a nerve, HNP
