Bone Formation, Growth And Remodeling Flashcards

1
Q

What are the 2 steps of ossification?

A
  1. Hyaline cartilage is covered by bone forming cells called osteoblasts.
Hyaline cartilage is digested away, opening up a medullary cavity within the newly formed bone.
