What is body composition?
The body’s relative amounts of fat and lean body tissue (Fat Free Mass)
(FFM includes muscle, bone, water, organ tissues)
Total body fat=
Essential fat + Storage fat

Makes up 3-5% of total body weight in males and 8-12% in females

Nonessential fat stored as adipose tissue near the skin surface.
