Sickle cell anemia
A
Affects haemoglobin in red blood corpuscles (carries O2) and changes the molecule into haemoglobinS which turns the cells into a crescent shape.
Cells die prematurely=anemia
Fatigue, shortness of breath-anemia-jaundice.
Sickle cells can lead to painful periods when they get stuck in vessels-deprives organs of O2.
=high blood pressure = heart failure
