The operator of a bicycle shall not transport childon a bicycle unless this child is:
- between the ages of 1 to 4 years old, or
- weighing 40 pounds or less
EXCEPTIONS: permissable if in a “baby seat”, or astride a seat of a tandem bicycle equipped so that the other person can comfortably reach the handlebars and pedals.
NOTE: The operator shall not transport any person under the age of one year on a bicycle (even in a baby-seat or on a tandem bicycle as described above.)
The operator shall not carry any package, bundle,or article unless,
inor on a basket, rack, trailer, or other device designed for such purposes

What is the lighting requirement for a bicycle?
- During the period from one-half hour after sunset to one-half hour before sunrise
- FRONT WHITE LIGHT: The operator shall display to the front of his bicycle a lamp emitting a white light visible from a distance of at least 500 feet, and
- REAR RED LIGHT/REFLECTOR: To the rear of said bicycle either a lamp emitting a red light, or a red reflector visible for not less than 600 feet when directly in front of lawful lower beams of headlamps on a motor vehicle.
