Dizziness of a benign, non-infective cause

What causes it?
A
Cellular debris in the semicircular canals

Why does the debris cause dizziness?
A
Head movements set these particles in motion which gives a spinning sensation until the particles settle

Signs and Symptoms (2)
A
Dizziness on movement, classically when looking up or turning in bed

What can preceed this? (3)
A
URTI, head injury, Vestibular Neuritis
