Why did Australia go to war?
A
It was important to defend Britain, because we were allies/sort of still part of Britain. Some Australians also believed that they had to prove themselves and that they owed Britain.

They were honoured and thought of very highly.

They were treated like cowards, and people did not respect them very much.
