Q

What happens to the air in an anticyclones

A

It subsides (falls from above), warming as it falls = produced a decrease in its relative humidity which leads to a lack of cloud development, and dry conditions

Q

What are the isobars like with an anticyclone

A

Usually far apart, and therefore there is little pressure difference between the centre and edges of the anticyclones
